  • Has anyone used the wrong side of Carbon Paper?

I did today, but never when I was halfway thru my Pattern. I always Check before I start but not today. I took my time to get the lines just right and when halfway thru I thought I would check to see if I missed any lines and found out that I did, ALL OF THEM. That became my walk away time. Will try again tomorrow. Just thought I would ask if anyone did this or is just me ??? Merle

I've been on the wrong side of a LOT of things Merle so I can identify. I think even carbon paper a time or two.

There's a message in it, 'karma' or something, telling me to shoulder a little responsibility and do some house work for a change.

Hey guys and gals I had a problem with carbon paper one time on a painting (not on a carving yet). I was doing a painting in acrylics and the lines from the carbon paper kept coming through my paint (bleeding) it did not seem to matter how often I covered it with a few minutes there it was. Anyway to make a long story short (too late I know) if you can get it use graphite paper instead of carbon paper it will not bleed through. Just a point of interest as I have not tried the graphite yet. I read that piece of info on a painting site.

I have done it also.....especially upsetting when you spend tons of time drawing out lots of details and then open the page.....and no drawing ......

Good Tip Dwight, I always use Graphite Paper for the same reason that you mentioned. It Still does the same if you get it backwards. Ha,Ha. Merle

Graphite, I can erase from a wooden block, like pencil. Carbon is greasy, have to carve it off. Fresh. new & cheap at Staples.
