  • Anyone interested in gouges?

Not sure if this is allowed here or not, but since we have no classified section I thought I'd give it a try. If it's not permitted then please delete it .
I got these 3 or 4 years ago and have never used them ( they were used when I aquired them) and since i carve almost exclusivly with knives and the occasional V tool they have been just sitting in my carving room ever since.
    they consist of from L to R: 4 Three Cherries brand :.. #'s 9-12, 5-6, 3-14, & 7-6.
    7 Ashley Isles brand #'s 4, 8, 3, 39 Vtool, 5, 1, & 01 (?) very small gouge.
    and finally 1 Swiss model # 3.
If any of the members on here (or any of their friends) would like to buy these please contact me by private message. I won't get into prices on here, but I can assure you they will be priced very reasonable ( down right cheap ...lol)
    Anyone interested?

Soggy - It is very thoughtful for you to think of fellow woodcarvers when you decided to part with tools you no longer need. Although I mostly carve with gouges, I have many that I rarely use. My latest project has brought some idle gouges into use. Maybe a life-size sculpture could activate the larger mallet-driven gouges - LOL.

A very good selection from big to little. Even a stop chisel and a Vee.
Great set-up for somebody and the Solstice is less than a month away, too..

Wayne, You might put the on eBay, and do fairly well with them. Looks like a nice set.

If I took the time to fix all my mistakes, I wouldn,t have time to make new ones.

Yes, they are top of the line tools and appear to be in great shape ( probably could stand a good sharpening by someone who knows what they are doing , like yourself) it's just that I'm not using them and thought someone here on the forum might be interested. I'll push them to the back of the shelf for another 3 or 4 years , in the mean time maybe someone will post on here looking for something like these.
