We are in spring down here in the Ozarks................well for today anyhow. We are not into spring for sure until Mid-April. Beautiful day for carving on my porch. Oh! ****! Forgot the Doctor's appointment. What can I take with me to carve in the waiting room?

Perfect here in Louisiana today...azaleas blooming all over, seeds sprouting, tomato plants green and growing tall...temp to be high 60s with sun shining and blue sky. No carving today, too nice not to work outside...but I'll probably set up my benchtop bandsaw on my outside workbench and rough out some stuff to carve later. Kind of makes up for the summer days when you break a sweat by walking twenty feet to the car.

That's why one of my sons moved back from New Hampshire after five years...he knew he'd made a mistake the first morning there when he couldn't start his U-Haul truck because the diesel fuel had frozen.

Sunny but cool here today. Birds were active. I've seen robins but I'm still waiting on bluebirds and cedar waxwings.

The weather here in New Jersey can't make up its mind if it's Spring already or still Winter.

All snow every day. Plants are doing well in the house. Snow extractor needs a break. All good though, its what this area can count on in March.

Good evening I have been working on the house for the last week. I think we have about to get to a temporary end what needed to be done this month. But there is always more with a 65 year old house. Next is stabilizing the pier and beam foundation. That one I will have to leave to the pros. The thing I hate about old age is having to pay people to do those things I always did but I can no longer do. It is hard to find people that take pride in their work they just what the money and they do the minimum in quality. I was just not raised that way. I was taught to do it right or do not do it. There I go jumping on my soap box. It is a different world.

You sure "hit the nail on the head" Randy. I'm hoping that i will be able to paint my house this summer, but by the way my legs are acting i may have to hire someone to do it for me. I built this house myself 45 years ago and have maintained it over the years, but it looks as though I'm going to have to start hiring this work out and that's not something that I'm looking forward to...................... the "Golden Years" ...my a** !

Great morning here in lower Alabama. I am sitting on the porch enjoying that first cup of coffee. It is a very comfortable 65 degrees and the birds are entertaining me in both site and sound. Hope your day starts out as nice as mine has!

I wholeheartedly agree, Randy! Anything I need done on my roof or too high on a ladder, or requires crawling under the house, and I have to call on one of my sons. Drives me nuts to ask for help, but they are gracious and generous in helping me without hesitation. I suppose my problem comes from an excess of pride, so asking for help is a well deserved dose of humility!
