  • Outrageous early heat......muggy.

How is your summer so far? Do you drink while working on your carving? I drink a water that has apple cider vinegar, swear the stuff helps me tolerate the heat. Been in the 90s lately and the humidity is unbelievable. I drag a fan with me every place...... I have no AC in the house is an open air what is outside is inside. So the fans go outside with me if I am carving. The fans are awesome to keep the mosquitoes away, darn spotted ones may have dengue. We have sunshine .....been months of rain, so it feels good.

My NOAA radio remains unplugged so the earthquakes from the volcano do not wake me up daily. The volcano continues to grow but it is staying in its channels most of the time....they say there is a big pond of hot lava if that goes over the lava high channels more houses will be destroyed. Whenever I can get videos I will post a few. The photos lately are next to awesome. People are getting pele hair (a fine glass hair) in their eyes over there.....and have to go to eye doctors have it dug out. Ouch!!!

I am working on Dragon..... Dragon is getting a total new dental work.....all the teeth will be pulled out due to breakage of the teeth because the grain and wood would not support the teeth. I figured dental implants....fact is if I was doing dental work as a dentist I would be making a mild fortune on the teeth right now..... I am working on the whole head sporting whiskers and horns.....all are being made with camphor and maple.....

This is a photo of the sky..... which is full of chemicals and glass, and metals of clouds ....on the big island..... it is starting to sport awesome colors when the sun shine through it.....this is not photo shop .......I have heard a mass of people who think they know why it is blue like that....but yet to hear the real reason. 35800758_10217159687730160_4552299999546834944_n.jpg

Reflected sky, shadowed from the low sun, water droplet size and chemicals in the water.
Would like to see it in motion. Thanks for all the striking visuals that you have added.

Here at my place, the clouds are all shades of a deep grey, tinge of blue (Payne's Grey). Water droplet size = cloud density = shade from sun.

We got up to 35C/95F in the shade yesterday. Maybe again today. My grapes love it and they shade the west side of the house.
The lower floor of my house is 1/2 in the cold, wet, clay ground. Pretty cool down there and quite small windows.
I keep telling myself if the upstairs gets too hot at night, I'll rig a bed in the basement.

Violently sobering. Thanks, Dileon, the video runs just fine.
Until this eruption, I was unaware of the poisonous character of the steam and the Pele' hair.

It is in the 90's here as well, but we don't have the worries that your country does. Be safe and thanks for the post

Joe they do not talk about that.....we have heavy trade winds that blow a steady breeze ....today they are 20 mph. So I would believe any heat from volcano and lava would be blown away. If you have ever been to the national park at the top of the crater.....the volcano just ate the whole parking lot, it fell into the crater from another earthquake. There is new areas getting major cracks and steaming today.... does not look good right now. Here is a video of the lava channel the ....channel walls can be up to 85 feet in the air as the lava you can see it speeding through a channel that goes across this road..... They are really worried about the lava breaching the walls lately .....Also this is soon to be the biggest eruption flow volume. Shortly will be the largest ever recorded in history. According to the USGS and JPL/NASA it's already beat the amount of flow from 17 major flows since the beginning of records. Ever. If it continues at this rate, their Volcanologists feel that very soon it will be the largest volume ever to be measured. Soon. Like days. This is history books being made.

Weather here in Kansas has been interesting...within the last 60 days as we have had temps from 20 degrees to 106 degrees. Today is wonderful...80 degrees, low humidity, and one of those picture perfect Western Kansas blue skies!

Wheat harvest is in progress here in our area, and the other crops are doing well with the recent rains...nothing like Hawaii, but enough for our part of the world!

On the central gulf coast hot and muggy is a way of life this time of year. We will be in the 90"s today but with dew point around 80 and the humidity in the 80's to 90% range our hear index will be between 105 and 110. Very muggy.

Was 95 with 75% - tough going with a big knife. I want to work on my tractor and hope the cement is cool and not hot on my back. Nothing like lying on a fire brick working on something with oil in the eye and wondering where the pad for the elbow went. Take care Dileon. My take on the Blue is the size of 'feature'. Small. Fine netting that is layered and spun. Lots of small glass. The Blue LED was tough to design due to geometry of the process. Finally Sony got there first pushing for blue lasers for their blu-Ray players. Red is large feature. Roy G. Biv Violet has been reached but it is out of our sight range. Ultra-Violet as they say. They eye and mind is a marvelous instrument that sums up all the light to make colors for us. Martin - degree in Physics & Electronics Crazy.
