Watching Doug Outside 5 minute wizard video based on Tom Hindes design. I have watched this one about a dozen times. I love it. Just need to made a jig to cut the blocks.
Man, sit on the floor with a fan on the floor.
Has to be far cooler than regular head height.
At least you can plan the jig on paper for when it cools down.
In theory, we "might" see 75F and partly cloudy with a big breeze later today.
I want to carve a bunch of cedar paddles to use as BBQ grill scrapers.
I have tons of fans, and they follow me with extension cord outside. I have my big insulated major iced water sitting next to me and under the tree. I sweat but I have heard it is healthy. So I am soaken wet and my fan blows on me and helps cool the system. If it gets to hot....into the bath tub with cold water......do not have to do that often.
Here in Hagerstown , Maryland we were in the 90s this morning and the before Noon we got A Thunder Storm and it Rained off and on all day , then to Kick it all off it drove the Temp, down into the Middle 70s , Just Terrible . Ha. We only hada 10 % chance of Rain . Family still hit the Pool and had a Great Day. Merle
I am lucky as I carve in my basement and it is always cool down there--even chilly--year round. But I've been doing some wood working projects in my garage lately and the heat and humidity are killer. I only work out there until about 11am, then I'm done. Everyone needs to stay safe and stay hydrated!
Joe, I can't believe you had frost! Are you in the higher elevations in Montana?
Terry, we live in Bozeman at about 5200 feet. The official temp was 34 F, which I think tied the record, but there was frost on my lawn and a little ice in the birdbath.
Joe, there has been snow here every month of the year except August.
It has been 102 lately but we got some rain finally with an almost dead TS. Yea and it keeps coming back. Most headed west. I don't mind the popup clouds that come and pour for 30 minutes and then move enough to stop. I like to wet the ground and then water it. If hot dry is hit, it sheets off.
And speaking of getting hot and can't cool - get under the shower water cool it down. Best to conserve and have a tub to dip in. The brain doesn't like over heated temperatures.

Reason: forgot
Getting ready to go out into the heat and shade tree.... I do not have AC so often it is hotter in the house than outside. Sweat and work on dragon feet. Perhaps later post an update on the feet ....they been a bear as the body is so twisted getting to some parts to carve is super hard.
Warms up to maybe mid 80's by mid day then we get thunder showers with hail up to marble size. Mighty chilly. Mighty chilly.
Herbs in pot and all the rhubarb leaves beaten to a pulp.
YEA - week of rain. When it pours it really dumps and the property (7 acres) needed it almost as the small trees. We have been loosing trees for several years now after the Hurricane came and racked them one more and then it turned dry. I have three to fell and have a top fall out and two from neighbors. Bought a Grapper for my tractor due to the amount of work.
