  • Apalling and unbelievable

Just read an article in Popular Science website that claims the chainsaw was invented to help with difficult childbirths.

    I'm a little queasy.

I would not doubt that, Dr's will think of of a lot of things? But straight from pp sci? When I was a kid they told me they would have flying cars all over in the 2000's too..
But that was only 70 years ago, I was 8.

Checked out the subject on a couple of other sites. Although it sounds like something left over from the inquisition, apparently there's some truth to it. It's believable. Just look how far modern medicine has evolved in the past 75-years!

I can see this working..... you wait 'till the Mrs. Is in her last week of pregnancy and then you buy her a chainsaw and a couple of cord of wood,.... that should induce labour...
If you're looking for me, you'll find me in a pile of wood chips somewhere...
