You too Randy! Today is the first day of my 4 day weekend off from work which I take from time to time. Not doing anything--just vegging. And probably carving. And the weather is absolutely great so far!

        Randy,

Well, crud! Now I’ve got to change my plans, was planning to sit in the drive and yell at the kids in the neighborhood as they pass. But Noooo! Randy wants me to have a “nice day”. A guy should get to do whatever he wants on his Anniversary right? I mean it’s my day, right?

PS Don’t tell my wife about the Anniversary thing I think she forgot and I still need to slip out and get a card and traditional dozen dying plants.

Get ready from leftover fizzled hurricanes coming in, rainy five days starts tonight, ....should not be too bad other will be stuck inside..the weather although is in the seventies which is major nice, ...and rainy and dark off and on all this week. Have a good peaceful weekend. I will be ripping apart the toilets putting all new guts, and adding bidets...toilet paper is two dollars!!! a roll in some places and soon will become unaffordable.

Finally got a rain-free day...so far...in a July that's breaking records for rainfall going back to the late 1800s when they started recording it. Heat advisory out today, though, with a "feels like" predicted of 103 degrees. Walked Charlie, my four legged best buddy, early but his next one won't be until sundown.

Thanks and the same for you. Bizarre weather here from 112F down to maybe 65 or less in the house last night. The central heating furnace came on 4 AM for a welcome blast. Creaky old Heidi-cat demands a place under the covers.

It's a "feels like" of 106° over here, Arthur. Too hot to carve in the garage, so I'm inside in the A/C looking at FB videos. Dave Stetson just reposted one about carving a caricature head on a 1.5 x 1.5 x 6 inch block and then using it as a bottle stopper.

What you and Arthur are saying is the rumors of snow in Louisiana have been gravely exaggerated. Same thing in Mobile, no snow.

Well today, Saturday, the weatherman says "feels like 108 degrees," but after a certain point it doesn't feel any different if it feels like 100 or 108...you can't breathe in either case with the humidity.

Randy, I think you're right, we may have to scratch the snow today.
