    https://research.noaa.gov/article/Ar...ore-hurricanes

My interpretation is that the reduction in fossil fuel particulates in North America is causing more and bigger hurricanes along the gulf coast and East coast. Do we all need to burn more "high sulfur" oil...? We could then all suffer from lung problems, but our houses wouldn't wash away... It'll be interesting to see what the WH has to say about the report...

The WH has no control over the weather. Neither did the previous administration.

The earth has been going through cycles since time began. 15,000 or 20,000 years ago there was an "ice age" , then the planet started warming up ( did the ( the scientists) blame that on global warming? ) I think not. Before that , there's evidence of tropical animals and vegetation in areas of the high artic. We are going through another phrase that may or may not be controlled by a superior being . Some groups blame everything on automobiles for polluting the atmosphere, when one good volcano (and there's plenty of them) can produce more carbon dioxide than all the cars on earth.
The weather will be whatever it wants to be and man will either adapt or disappear... my .02 cents worth

There is no doubt in my military mind that man's accelerated use of fossil fuels over the past 200-years is bringing about the over exaggerated changes in climate and will eventually lead to our demise. And if man isn't destroyed by those climate changes he'll eventually bury himself in trash and garbage.

I agree with Eddy. I don't know how complete that report is, I am wondering what the set parameters were. If particles in the air can create cooling, then we should see cooling from all the fires we've recently had.

If global warming doesn't get us then eventually lack of decent food and clean water probably will as the oceans are stripped of fish and other foods and existing farming pratices will fail to produce for the ever expanding population.

Ground water supplies are becoming more polutted with time.

That's before you even consider natural resources running out. Oil. coal, rare and not so rare metals and minerals. Is only a matter of time.

I believe in the cycle of life, that all things in chemistry matter to maintain balance. Strip the woods and forest and the sun bakes the soil into dry nothingness. Strip the grasses and plow the earth, the sun bakes it dry and often kills the very micro that feeds the soil and the plants. IN meteorology you can see clearly the worst storms and how they are created has everything to do with wind and moisture. What happens on the ground affects the air. Pollution and destruction of the earth's surface is going to affect the cycle. Killing off the animals to put a house also affects everything in nature....overpopulation of people who have no concern but for money, we have perfect destruction. Go to Eygpt there are no trees, no plant life but the Nile area. Sun get a normal 120 and even got caught in sand storms of winds well over the 100 miles an hour....no animals, no trees, no plants, and famine starts. Here you can see those same winds this year over the soil-baked big farm fields that major are sprayed with tons of chemicals each year...yet science says research reports return the trees and animals and the biochemistry is balanced. But man is not educated, follower of the great dollar bill will be his destruction, his lack of unity to resolve the real issues today is the mini-war of who is right and who is wrong...the blame game will destroy mankind. Yes, the earth is ever-changing but man is not the king of the universe. He needs to survive as things are instead of what he wants.

You do not build on an ocean, a fault line. You make your homes according to your environment instead of showing off to the neighbors....you treat the earth with respect. Right now we have the whole midwest turning into dessert....blame the earth??? climate change? I just shake my head that the whole big picture does not add up. Right now the whole earth is falling into the Great depression number 2 again the blame, shame game is still number one. The earth can heal itself, but man's destruction ups its games.... the big picture is darn scary in today's world

NOAA one research paper.... science research articles are just one piece of a ten thousand-piece puzzle. It is total insanity to take that one very small piece of a whole issue and make it the cause of anything. Just like the pandemic, they take one science research paper and make it the word of God in today's world. That is total insanity of not understanding scientific research. It takes tons of research papers and years of putting together the puzzle, but today people have crystal balls of prediction of the future like they swear that they know what is going to happen next. I do not fear the weather, I fear mankind and what he does.

Talking about Hurricanes and weird weather....GFS supercomputers have a hurricane developed in the gulf coast hitting Florida next week May 24.....we will see how this plays out in the world of meteorology as we know the weather changes the predictions daily. So this is one is wait and see if it will be developed....one week anything can happen. Just a reminder for all of us in hurricane paths...get those plans in order.

I read that last night Claude. Made sense to me. I like that they based their opinion multiple studies and on historical records and not just current events. But it looks like we may be in for another tough summer on the gulf. As Di said we ,man kind, is our own biggest threat. But if we do self destruct we will do it long be for the weather dose.
