Any Idea of Value?

I bought this carving in 1980 from a carver in Peterborough Ontario.I believe he was German.It is 36 inches high.I am moving and don't have any room to take it with me.Does anybody have an idea of how much this is worth and where I can sell it? Thank you kindly

I've seen similar work, done by a man from Nova Scotia, quality carvings, he sells his for $250.
