I decided to start this thread just in case others are having the same problem as me and don't know what to do. Since Aug 4th or 5th I haven't been able to post replys or start threads(except 3 times).In the gallery I could. I tried everything! BobD was really good about trying to help me. I don't know why some people that are on facebook aren't having these problems, but I would bet some are. What I finally did, BobD suggested it, and SusieQ did a while back, was to get a whole new account here. So that's what I did. I won't link this account up with facebook. I'm really beginning to hate facebook and all it's quirks. So if you read this and are having a problem, maybe get a new account here.

Hi Sharon,
Glad you posted this. I do know of one other person who had the same problem. He could not post and his account was linked to facebook. Like you, he could send me private messages but not post. I told him about your problem and how it was linked to facebook. He removed facebook from his personal profile on the forum and everything went well after that. So, if anyone else is having this problem, maybe this will help.

How do you remove Facebook from your personal profile on the forum? I've looked and can't find where to do this.

look at the green band with the words "user CP, FAQ, Community, etc.... It's just down from the top of the page about 3 or 4 inches....
click on "user CP" and that should get you into your personal profile. You can edit any info about yourself from there, just save the changes.Comment

They won't be there unless you entered them into your profile when you joined the forum..... it's not there automatically. Did you list facebook as one of your social networks? Maybe you don't have anything to worry about....Comment

I had the same problem, but I am not linked to facebook. I had a windows virus, that slowly resulted in getting a new computer. The new computer had no trouble posting. Since this time I will not update windows.. Explore! Dream! Discover!” aloha DiComment

Boy am I glad I didn't click on that button ! I use facebook but I keep it separate from any forums I use . I went through the virus thing a few years ago and it is not fun . New computer for me too . I like the idea of facebook and I have found friends from the past but there are a lot of viruses that derive from there . You have to be very careful about messages sent to your email accounts from anything facebook related .Comment

Whenever I post something on this forum I get an error screen from Facebook as this forum tries to link up with my Facebook account and I have to click the red "X" on the top right of the "error screen" before my post will show up.
I didn't put FB in my personal profile, but I remember some time back that the WCI login box had an option to login using your FB profile. It worked for a few weeks, but now the error screen.
Frustrating, but still able to post here.Comment
