Duh da duh!!!!!

Ever since we bought this computer in 2007, I have been trying to figure out how to write paragraphs because it bugs the snot out of me running my sentences together.
I tried the align thing, the ordered and unordered lists and it didn't work for me. Thought maybe it was because we didn't have Microsoft Word, (bought that recently) and it didn't help.
Well, I just accidentally pressed enter at the end of a sentence and what do you know, it went down to the next line!
Just thought I would share this because it's just one less thing to irritate me!
At least I hope I figured it out!

In some older versions of Microsoft, distract somebody who is working at their computer and press Ctrl (control) and 'X' at the same time. . . . turns everything on their screen 90 degrees.
Ctrl Y will put it back, twice would rotate the screen the other way.

You see, Sharon, you could use Ctrl X to stand all your sentences on end then gravity would shake them all to the same margin to make lovely paragraphs.

Google "Open Office.org" and check it out. It has so much more than "Word" and its open source software (free). It comes with a manual and it's easier to use than "Word". I've been using it for 3 years and have had no problems. It's the best I've seen and free to boot! Check it out.

I think most of us who wern't raised with computer have a lot of problem on them. You are not alone. Some days i could just throw it in the trash.

I use WordPerfect. I only use Word when I have to. Thanks to the Canadians for keeping WordPerfect alive.

Yeah, very irritating being just one click away from having it the way you want it. I am in that place way too often. Glad you are in the know on that one now. :-)

All of you made me laugh! As you can see I still don't have the paragraph thing quite figured out. I spent hours last week on this darn thing trying to design my own business card. Finally got it half way decent looking and how to put the text on it. Went to print it up on the Avery pre-cut cards and thought to myself, that doesn't look half bad! Then I noticed part of my design isn't even on the card. So I spent hours trying to re align it so it fits on the cards. Pooey on it! I couldn't figure it out. So I have been on a virtual diet and spending more time out in my yard planting things.
When we bought this computer, I thought maybe I should take a class at the local Junior college. Thought to myself, I can figure this out and besides I don't have time to go to college. Now I figure I probably could have been well on my way to a Bachelors degree or at least an A.A. if I would have went back to school and finished college instead of all the time I spent being a knot head trying to figure this stuff out! GRIN!!!!!
