A Stroy Worth Telling

Here is a story worth telling. Our granddaughter was at a gas station a yesterday and had her IPhone taken when she set it down on the counter and she turned away to see where her boyfriend had gone. She belongs to a web site where she has her phone registered. She can go to that site and trace her phones GPS. So she went right home and did that and found the location of her phone. She and her boyfriend went there but it was a trailer park and they could not tell what trailer the phone was in. They did not have a computer in the car so the called here and ask me go to the site and see if the phone was still in the area they were at. I did and it was still in that area so they called the police. When the police got there they still could not tell what trailer space it was in. I was still on the web site and noted that I could go from street map to satellite map. When I did I could see which trailer space it was in. So we took a picture of the image on our computer that showed where the phone was with our cell phone. Then we sent the picture to her boyfriend’s phone, showing the trailer space the phone was at. The cops went there and confronted the people in the trailer and our granddaughter got the phone back. Can you believe all the technology involved in the deal. What a world we live in!!!! I can only imagine what the poor dummy was thinking when he opened the door and there were the police and the girl he just took the phone from a few hours before standing there.

I'm glad your story had a happy ending. I was a little worried when you said they went to the trailer park, I'm happy to see they got the police to handle it. Thanks for sharing.
