Thanks Dan! If Mama ain't happy, no one's happy and since there's only me her and the dog in the house I do my best to keep on her good side! Actually, I'm just foolin! We were best friends long before we ever got married so life is really sweet, especially now that I've matured and learned to keep my mouth shut! Ha! Ha!

Re: "Crowing Old Together!!"
Very cute sign! I can see why your wife likes it. Fixing that sign for her was better than buying her a present!

She'll love it Eddie. Giving should come from the heart, not the wallet.

"Crowing Old Together!!"
My wife and I aren't doing much for each other for Christmas other than enjoying each other's company. Of course we'll go over to each of the kid's homes at some point in time over the holidays to deliver their presents and see our grandkids but since we get what we want during the year we just didn't see the point in going out and buying presents. But I did want to do something special for her so I renovated her favorite lawn sign. She bought this sign about twenty years ago at a festival in Tennessee and because she liked it so much, when it fell apart about ten years ago, I replaced it. Well, recently it started to look real shabby. The eyes had fallen off. The hats had disintegrated, and the paint faded beyond dull. So I brought it in the house, sanded it down, gave it a brand new coat of exterior acrylic paint, and epoxied on new eyes and straw hats. Now we're all set to "Crow Old Together" and the wife is happier than a pig in....hmmmmm.... maybe that's not a good holiday analogy! Anyway she's tickled pink!
For the record I originally had used Apple Barrel Plaid brand indoor/outdoor gloss acylic paint and it stood up excellent to the weather, even to our hot Florida sun, so that what I repainted it with.Tags: None
