The Verdict...

For those who have been following my last post about a tree change, I just thought I would post the results of our exhaustive search to find a suitable home. My wife decided that Queensland would just be too dramatic a change for her right now, so we just had our latest offer accepted on what we believe is to be our own little slice of paradise in the temperate rainforest in the Victorian hills out of Melbourne. My wife has ample space upstairs for her mosaic studio and I have as much space as I need to carve to my heart's content downstairs. I think the sound of the babbling brook running directly through the property without any hazard of flooding, was the deciding factor for us. Only some standard inspections to go and then it will be unconditional. Have a look and tell me what you think.

Thank-you all very much for your kind supportive comments. Yes, a very inspirational atmosphere and extremely tranquil setting. I cannot wait to begin our art and sculpture garden there. We are naming the place, 'Whispering Water Studios'. Although it was mentioned "tongue-in-cheek", I do hope that any wood carver ever venturing out my way would know that there is always a warm welcome to be recieved at my home. I have never met a wood carver that I didn't like, as someone's signature states on this board and that stands true in my experience. Please drop me a line if you happen to be in the area, happy to make some chips with a fellow carver.

Josef that looks like a great place to step out and enjoy the scenery any time you might need to take break or just have some morning coffee. Hope it's no time before you're all moved in and able to enjoy it.
