  • A good experience

I ordered a glove from the carving glove guy. He actually called and verified everything. Something somewhere got messed up and I didn't get the order. I contacted him and he called me right away and said he wasn't sure what happened, but somehow the order was lost and wasn't sent.
He sent it right out and I had it in a couple days...along with a little extra bonus.
I don't know "The Carving Glove Guy" and I am not affiliated with his business, but I was very satisfied with the way he handled my situation.
Mistakes happen. If you happen to be the "victim" of such a mistake, the way a business handles that mistake is what makes that merchant float to the top as far as I am concerned.
I am probably more impressed with "The Carving Glove Guy" because of the response to my concern.
There are good ones out there!

      Re: A good experience

I have met Don (The Carving Glove Guy) at the Dayton Show. He is a super Gentleman that actually cares about his customers. I bought the Strop that is for Dockyard tools it comes with a small can of Green compound. The original compound that first sold with the strop was so runny you could'nt use it. Don saw me the next year at Dayton and remembered me. He said he had something for me and gave me a new can of compound. Don is also a distributor for the Dockyard Tool line.

It is really great that we still have a place that places customer service as a prioratey. R emembered Magicman from the year before and even what he bought. I know where my next glove will come from. He must be a carver as well. They are just great people. LOL

I also met him at Dayton show
I bought the carving glove that is kevlar overlayed with leather
The leather protects the kevlar from wear and tear
I would buy the same glove again, very happy with it
