Yes, me too. My operating system gives me a message that the site is using a slow-running script, and by stopping the script it speeds up- temporarily.

It's bad! Very slow loading the pages. It's the only site on my computer that is that way too. I really don't think they can fix it though. If they could, they would have.

its a big page loads slow and if there is a lot of traffic it loads slower. I would say it depends on yr download speed im thinking. I rarely have a problem but sometimes.

this is a ping plotter the gamers use them, it will trace the route that the signal takes to a place on the net and back. I know having used it before that when I visit a website it might detour thru several different servers, a straight line doesn't exist on the internet you can try downloading it and see what and where the signal goes. don't know hwo to ffix it except to contact yr provider if its way off.

Here is the site I use for testing my connection speed. It is from my ISP located in Allendale, Michigan. Not sure it works for other areas but you can go back a page or two and select different places if it is not working.

Hmmm, well you can select Minnesota, Iowa, or Michigan here but I'm not sure it really makes a difference for this test. I have a another link that I'm pretty sure is not dependent on location but I'll have to search my email to find it.

I think some of the problem may be that WCI is updating the website. Read their note about it near the top of the page:

We are updating our website. Please bear with us while we work through the bugs. We want to thank you in advance for your patience while we work hard to give you a better experience on our web site.

I'm having the same problem. Very frustrating!!! I have high speed internet and this is the only site I have this problem with. I find myself not wanting to use this site anymore, which is a shame. Hope someone can fix it.

The pages are taking some time to load, with occasional auto signout that drives me batty, but they are working on improving the experience. I noticed this message that i get at the top of the forum, that tells me about the updating of the site, so i'm fine with it. Just got to roll with the punches a little bit folks... Bob should know whats going on... I know that it's a pain, but just wait it out. the moderators and designers here work very hard to bring us a pleasurable forum... Take care folks!

It has been working fine for me. Why good for some folks and not for others? I think part of the problem might be the browser. There is so much difference in browsers nowadays I find myself switching between them depending on the site. Once in awhile I have had problems with this site but not very often. I don't have the highest speed internet connection but just moderately fast. I'm using Google Chrome which I think is a pretty lean browser compared to IE. For those still having problems, you might try a different browser. I know there's some bugs in this forum but trying a different browser might help reduce the problems. Malware can slow you down as can too many cookies. You might try scanning for malware and clearing your cookies.

                              Re: WCI-very slow loading pages

The computer I use is scanned daily for malware and spyware. It's clean. It seems that the problems started when the ads started. When ever it's very slow there is a message at the bottom that states waiting on photo or banner, or just waiting on WCI. And since this is the only site that is slow, I don't think it's my computer.. I suspect that the WCI staff are still off for the holiday, and will not get back to solving the problem until Monday.
