Went fishing today - great day for fishing! Instead of having to put a bunch of weight on my line to get the bait down to the bottom, I just tossed it in the water. The surface is so hot the worms would swim down to the cooler water near the bottom. We had the big cooler with us to put the fish in when we caught some. I had it open putting a nice little 12 inch bass in the ice when a big 15 pounder jumped out of the water and into the ice in the cooler. All we had to do was close the lid...
It is so hot that the squirrels are fanning their nuts..... man you people have a dirty minds,... I was talking about walnuts..... on note>>> there are zero squirrels in Hawaii or walnuts.
Let us all remind eachother (in N. Hemisphere) of the bleak outlook for mid/late January of the short days of winter. I'll bet good money that it will happen again. Likely with a howling blizzard in mid November to set the tone for the next few months.
It wasn't over 80F/27C here but the humidity after 3 weeks of rain was a stinker. Scooped the dog logs and got 6" grass cut down. I thinned my apple trees then played on the shady side of my grape vines = a waist-deep jungle. If the dang things only grew "up" , it would be nice.
