You guys are so funny....smile,....good to laugh. As much as the heat is bad...I love summer. I love getting in the water and then standing in front of fan, the coldness against my skin is heaven. I love eating cold icy fruit bars and smoothies. I love the sun in my face and the wind in my hair. I love the breaking of outstanding color flowers. I love the crabs and the worms with their pot holders....smile
OMG!!! Talk about getting your five cents in!.... LOL! Good one Terry! Hey Claude that same cooler is in my back yard! I better go check! Wish fishing was that easy!...
It's so hot i saw a camp fire jump in the water!..........
The past few days we have been seeing Blackbirds and woodpeckers taking baths in the birdbath. I have never seen them in there before. Yesterday, there were 4 Grackles sitting around the edge while another one was taking a bath. It sure looked funny. You can tell that they are a little nervous and skittish and fly away quickly if they see our movement through the windows. We have had to refill it several times in the past week from them
flopping water over the side. Never seen it so busy before. It's fun watching them.
DiLeon
as a stiff upper lipped Englishman I must point out to you that this is a very very serious discussion on the effects of heat and humidity that are forcing changes all round us
The thought of you coming out of a pool fanning yourself whilst eating and drinking cool beverages only causes the temperature to soar and may well have caused high rises in blood pressure and in some cases melted pacemakers
You should be out putting signs on trees etc directing birds and animals to water or making hammers for the birds to bang on the ground for worms
or ways to harden soft boiled eggs
Please consider the above as a warning as to your failure to treat this thread seriously
Its that hot here now the sparrows are relaxing in my bird bath using umbrellas
