  • Comment Posting Woes!

    Attention all WCI users,
'Beware of automatic signout while posting your comments'. This is as frustrating as anything when trying to bring about a point, or posting pictures with a long winded article (an especially long one) only to press the post, or enter button, then have it tell you, 'you have to sign in to post'!!!.....??? OMG! It has happened to me, on so many occasions. The second frustrating thing about this, is when you back track, all that time and effort spent on writing commentary has been wiped out! I'm not trying to write a book, but i am trying to post with out any given problems in the forum. If you know your comment is going to be 'long winded', then i would suggest you write your comment in your word pad first, save, then copy and paste it afterwards... This way, if it has been erased, you still have it saved in documents, and can try it again. Just food for thought, when posting here in the forum.......
Sincerely yours, Robert Vega aka Lazy Carver

I think this might be avoided if you checked "Remember me" when you sign in. I have never been automatically signed out, even after hours of inactivity.

If I have a long post, I often will highlight it, then hit CTRL C, which copies it to memory. If the post gets lost in cyber space, you can make a new post and hit CTRL V to paste it into your new post or into a word processor.

Rob, it happens to me alot. My fault as I am not a fast typer. Just try logging back in from there, and it is usually still there. Works for me. Maybe it just feels sorry for me though. Hope it works for you.

LOL I have to laugh .....it happens to me a lot no matter what I do, including using word. Way I figure it Rob ....if I lost a long winded post....perhaps it was Gods will for it not be posted in the first place. Now I know I am not the only one that looses post....and I am among others, I feel a bit more normal.

Shoot, Di. I always figure it's the devil trying to keep me from posting...so I tend to be more determined!
