  • Any idear...:D

Below is a link to a clip from the movie Sleepy Hollow I found on youtube. It is the only one I could find that had the luminary in it . I have been wanting to make one of these for years. I have tried several different ways but I know there is something I am missing in the constructing of. I am hoping someone will know of of something Maybe are they even called Luminaries? That search has done me little to no good. I am really looking forward to any ideas. They seem to be of East Coast origins Thank you so much in advance!

All I know is the heat makes it rotate, but you could use an electric rotating base.

It will be interesting to see what you come up with.
    Its all fun!

If you are talking about the figures moving on the wall. I remember as a kid we had one that displayed horses and different things. It was made from a cellulite type of product and rotated on a balancing needle. It got its power to rotate from fins placed at an angle above the light bulb. The heat rising from the bulb made it turn. Hope this helps, just be sure and use fire proof stuff to build it with.

        interesting. off to search...

I have to believe you have no issues on the pierced artwork, your Q is more likely about the mechanism, correct?
