    and, if the Republican congress gets it's way, the increases will be smaller yet. They are proposing to base the increases on a "modified" consumer index - based only on goods that seniors are likely to buy.

        How can you say that? I think the $200k federal grant that determined that tall people have an advantage against short people when playing basketball was money well spent. We never would have been able to figure that out without the federal grant to do this... (some sarcasm intended...)

            We can rest easy that the money that could help with SS issues is going for important government spending. Such as these idem listed the Waistbook for 2014.Just a few of the $25 billion listed in the book. And as a nation we keep voting those same people back into office to do it some more. Who is to blame???? What is the saying? trick me once shame one you, trick me twice shame on me.
