The Robson Valley is a geographic region of the Canadian province of British Columbia,[1] comprising the section of the Rocky Mountain Trench that lies southeast of the city of Prince George following the Fraser River to the Yellowhead Pass.

You betcha. Thanks for spilling the secret. 53N in a backwater village, tucked away in the Rockies. Runs up SE to Mt Robson, just shy of 13,000'. I live about 120(?) miles west of Jasper National Park. About the same as the park without the crowds and prices.

McBride is the #1 snowmobile destination in North America. You can even get your NOX bottles refilled here! You can rent avalanche beacons in the local gas station! Canadian Mountain Holidays has a lodge here. Helicopter Holidays is an hour west. Five heliski companies licenced to fly out of here = 8AM is like a war zone, come January.

While it can be said that "there's no faults in no place," this ain't so bad.
Google McBride, BC and have a look.
Google McBride+spider web. I'm the dude in the red jacket.

-2C is chilly. It's the incessant wind (and wind chill) which is unpleasant. Had a look up top earlier this AM. The sled heads are staying on the hills in the open. Nikon Prostaff 82mm spotting scope, 20X - 60X on a surveyor's tripod.

There are 2 peaks across the valley with what becomes an enormous cornice that spans the saddle, house-sized hunks already breaking off. Apparently, you need NOX and 350hp to high-mark that puppy and live to tell about it. 90-100mph can outrun most avalanches.

30F would be OK for the New Year's Polar Bear swim but the water is hard.
That's a stunt which will never be on my bucket list.

Sounds like a beautiful place to see from the inside of a very warm house! A person could sit at the window all day, watch the weather and make chips all over the floor.

That's the plan, Debbie. The next time I look up, it will be spring. When the pile is knee deep, I use a snow shovel to clean up.
My shop is the room next to the downstairs kitchen where the pellet stove is. Temps hover around 75F or less. For heavy work, 65 in the shop is plenty.
But, first up for today is to repot a bunch of geranium cuttings. The cactus needs no water but I have 30 date palms under the lights which are quite thirsty critters.
