Maybe I'm out of line, but I think you should take in a piece of your work and show that cashier just what you can do.
You may feel you have done enough, but it really gets under my skin when a person questions someone when they have no clue as to what they are saying.
Just because there might be a person with a hnadicap, it does not mean that they are unable to perform normal daily functions or even live a productive life.
After all, no one needs someone to ponit out a problem or handicap to the person in question.
When people do this, it makes me think that they are the ones with a handicap!
