How did you do Coal or Tools?

I hope everyone had a great Christmas I did. It's always hard for people to shop for me what do you get a blind person a chainsaw.. No I didn't get a chainsaw or any other tools. I was informed that I had all the carving tools in the world now. I did get about 5 or 6 audio books so now I have more to listen to while carving. I did also receive a beautiful hand made quilt from my mom. It is funny she has been sitting there in the same house making it right in front of me. I think the best thing for me is when the little great neises and nephews open their presents. Can't see them but could sure hear them.

I got a lot of general tools this year;
an 18-volt rechargable tool set (Circular saw, reciprocating saw, drill, flashlight, and stud finder); Freud Tablesaw blades for my new saw, a nice Kreig miter gauge for my saw, a new shop vac...and a MP3 player!!!

Ron, I do know what you mean on those children opening their presents. Of course my 5 year old Grandson, open up his big box present and after all the present were opened, what did he play with. The Big Box. Go figure. Next year, no toys, just boxes.
And the little 4 year old GrandDaughter had to have a fashion show with all the clothes she gotAnd How may Dora dolls can one child have.
The 9 year old, well, Against my better judement got an Ipod and other things. She loves country. No, not theWillie or Waylan stuff.
The wife, well she made out like a bandit, Got a Circut, has to do with Scrapbooking, A machine that cuts out whatever the cartridge has on it. Neat little machine.
Oh, I got some neat stuff. At least it wasn't socks or underwear.
BTW, I just figure out the little bride's digital camera and I recieved an Olympus 6 megapixal digital camera form the little bride. bless her little pea pick'n heart.A nice one with Image Stabilization.
I sure need all the stabilization I can get.

I got a scrollsaw, bunch of giftcards(enough to buy a bandsaw at lowes...score!), some clothes, and other odds and ends.

I got a couple of Kutzall burs, a new tape measure, a set of chisels, a coffee pot for the shop, a timer for the heater in the shop, and a Fly Rod. A few clothes.

Sounds like our little dog, my wife put a little stuffed toy in a big red Christmas sock for her.....what did she want? the sock! Apple Next year I will give her my socks! ha ha

My kids were all here for Christmas dinner, and that was enough, but they all chipped in and got my husband and I tickets to the Cirque Du Soleil, Corteo show in Atlanta in January.
I told them all I didn't want anything, because we're living in a 23 foot airstream for now and there isn't enough room for even a new pair of socks. They listened! I couldn't have been more excited.
They also all loved their presents from us and we've been eating good food for 3 days now.
Great year's end. Now, maybe I can find time to carve again.

Well it sounds like everyone had a great holiday. I didn't think any of us deserved coal except maybe Ash for his halloween prank. Hope everyone has a safe and Happy New Year katy and I are doing the smart thing staying home with a nice bottle of wine and some movies.

Coal ...coal...coal every place, big sacks of the stuff ... I tried to be good Guess not good enough. maybe next year I'll get something sharp and shiny . only 364 days till next christmas.

WOw... you folks musta been some gooood kids this year.

I sat and carved all day Sunday and all day Monday. Just me and the radio. I managed to get a few things carved up.
