Ahh......you like racing do you?? You can't beat Bristol's races.....AND.....I work for the corporate offices of Food City which sponsor the busch race in the fall and the Nextel Cup Race in the Spring....so I can get tickets! You should think about it!! Let me know if you need more information about the area. Abingdon, Virginia is 15 miles away (my home town) and it is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to! Just something to think about......don't forget to watch the race at the end of March!

As Bart mentioned, Gary Falin lives right down the road close to Knoxville (2 hours) and so does Wayne Shinlever. There is also Smoky Mountain Woodcarvers and Dollywood right around the corner.

Bouncing S hey thank you for welcoming me to the group i look forward to alot of answers to my questions . i have a wood buning tools kit now and i hope to find some fairly easy patterns to get started on if anyone has any easy wood burning patterns for begginers please send them to me . thank you and god bless

L.S. Irish (Susan on this message board) has a plethora of really fine patterns for all kinds of burning and carving. A few, like the one on this link, are free and come with a short tutorial to get you started. She also answers questions if you have some, and she has time.
