  • Hello

Hello folks. I retired from work last year and now find I can devote a bit of time to doing and trying things I want to. I dabbled a bit in carving whilst making a few sticks and would like to advance it further. I live in north Wales

Welcome to the forum. There are some carvers in your part of the world. One lives in Wales "Chris Pye" . You can learn a lot from his online classes. https://www.woodcarvingworkshops.tv/

Welcome to WCI, Clwydianrange. A few years ago my wife & I spent some time near Betws-y-Coed - a lovely region and delightful people.

Glad to have another new member, welcome! Being a retired engineer, you are going to have a blast with wood carving, just don't get disappointed when at first you can't get the exactness you want. It is time to just enjoy without any pressures of your work.
