    Howdy!

Hi, I'm George Wicks and I carve Walnut deep relief carvings by hand. Working into carving in the round. Carve a lot of Native American Indians, Wildlife, and Western History related. Eventually going to start having Bronzes cast. Decided to hang up my day job as a Department supervisor in the electrical and lighting department at Home Depot and go full time into the carving that I love. Spend the weekends out gathering reference photos, fresh air and exercise plus scouting out my archery elk. Still need to learn my camera and would like to eventually take some photography courses. Taught carving classes last year at a private school, While it was a great learning experience and well worth the time spent, I have become more focused on what I want out of life so here I am taking the everlasting rewarding plunge into the carving world.

Carve and carve is the trademark. Sounds as if you are along the path already. Welcome to the group. Show your work and feel free in asking questions. Nice people here. Martin
