  • Hello from Montana

Hello everyone! Decided to try wood carving a couple months ago from watching Doug Linker and Kevin Coats on YouTube. Sure not as easy as it looks but I’m having fun and enjoying it. Would really like to learn western caricature carving. Well that’s one goal of mine.

Welcome Dashri, There is a show in Missoula on the first weekend of May, so you might check it out if you are in the area. Youtube is a great resource for beginners nowadays.

Have fun, and carve safe, Tom
If I took the time to fix all my mistakes, I wouldn,t have time to make new ones.

Hello and welcome to the forum. If you click on the dark strip at the top of the page that says FAQ it will take you to the WCI homepage. Click on (“How To “). You will find a lot of help getting started including a section with 14 pages of patterns and tutorials. There is a great group of carvers here on the forum that are willing to help however the can.
