Chase, It looks like you are off to a great start. Clean cuts, and nice paint work. The dry brushing really sets things off. Welcome to the forum.
If I took the time to fix all my mistakes, I wouldn,t have time to make new ones.

Welcome to the forum. The support of a carving club can be a big help. This site shows 12 carving groups in Colorado hopefully one is near you.

Welcome, and very nice flat plane carving and the facets are nicely done. Are they highlighted by dry brushing or sanded?

I like that edge finishing style.

Whereabouts in CO are you carving?

I like how you've left the edges light color, shows the flat plane very well but also gives it a crackle look.
