Guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Charlie, you mentioned earlier using "Kulis Karvet." Is that just another wood putty, or something special?

Working with the Grands is a hoot, isn't it? Keeping their attention over an extended period is something else, at least for me!

Kulis Karvet is no longer marketed to the hobbyist in small amounts. It is similar to Apoxie Sculpt. Too bad it is no longer available it was the best to use and last for years in the container.

Joe, She has been a real blessing to all of us. She amazed me this year at how good she has developed. Each summer we try and do a project. Last year it was a saw whit owl. She did parts of it but this year she did almost all of it. I shaped it , she took it from there. So proud, on top of it she is an all A student.

Are there bluebirds on your window sill? I have 7 on mine. Just trying to finish out the habitat, but thought I would share progress. Here are 4 of them.

It must be a bluebird kind of a week. I hope to finish painting mine tomorrow when I get the airbrush out. Then I'll work on habitat. Yours are way too cool. Then, while the airbrush is out, I'll add color to the avocets. Sure would like to finish all the birds. Thanks for sharing and the motivation...

I love your window sill! I have a bluebird box in my backyard and it has been pretty successful over the years although this year something got in the box and destroyed the eggs.
