  • Stick chickens from a new carver

Some stick chickens I carved and painted. This is my intro to woodcarving. Got these down now I can teach my 10yr old sons. So happy they want to carve also

Nice new crop there and glad you and the kids are sharing. The carving community needs more carvers to replace the old geezers (like me) to keep the hobby and profession alive. Might even see some of the kid's carvings on the forum?

Please do show us the flock that the kids carve.
Rare to read of kids interested in carving.

Greetings from Western NC. Your chickens are looking great. I tried one of these from a video by Chris Lubkemann..

It was a fun little carve but I think the branch I was using was too dry, I broke most of the tail feathers off.
