That guy looks a bit like the Burrowing Owls in mid Cal. My wife and I had the fun pleasure when volunteering at a Corps Of Engineers lake,, helping make entrances for them . We would have to dig out an area of grass and brush about 15' long and 12' wide and make sure that the nesting birds could see down the hill and have a perch ..Really a great project,,Owls are one of our favorites.. Thanks for,, That great carving John.

Always hoping for a nice slice that won't need sanding!

Fantastic carving, and mount for it John. I like it.
If I took the time to fix all my mistakes, I wouldn,t have time to make new ones.

Interesting piece, a novel approach well carried off. Great job.

Before they slip me over the standing part of the fore sheet, let them pipe: "Up Spirits" one more time.
