  • Finished Walnut Bass on Cherry Base

Bass is from Walnut and Base is from Cherry Wood . Finished with Poly U ,Satin and Antiqued with Watco Dark Wax . The Base is a Freak of Nature . The Dark part is Bark that has Curled after a Limb broke off and continued live . My Barber cut it off a Log and thought I could find a use for it , he was right . It is very hard and I used all Power Tools on it . It sure is different .
Now maybe I can Work on a Cane that's on my list of, to ,do's . Merle

Good pictures now Merle. I can almost feel that bass tugging on my line. That base is certainly unique.

Nice work, Merle! Is "having pictures when no one else does" anything like "having visitors when no one else does"?

We had that problem before. I had posted photos that didn't appear for anyone else. It seemed to relate to whether or not the photo had been put in my media gallery, but it's not something the poster has to do.

Hi Sappy , I guess you could say that. I guess it's better to have some Pictures and Visitors than no Pictures or Visitors . Thanks for your Words of Wit . Merle
