Hey all. The birds are a bigger hit than my caricatures with family and friends. This was made for a friend of my wife who is really into birds. Thanks for taking a look.

Loveit. The pose is what they do. The paint is right, even the red chop on the back of the head.
We have lots of them here in summers, I suspect they are quite territorial. Maybe every 1/2 mile on logging roads. The flap-and-glide flight is like no other bird. Do they migrate for winter?Brian T

Thanks Brian. I think the flickers we have here in western Washington have more subdued coloring. I'll have to keep my eye out.

They were here in NJ during the warmer weather. I never noticed the belly colors or pattern. I'll have to check that out when they come back around. They seem to like whatever is in or on the ground. I'm guessing ants.
The posing is very good. The red badge is great along with the rest of the paint and carving. Thank you for sharing!

Bob - I never noticed the belly pattern either. I don't the flickers around western Washington have it. I'll have to keep a look out.
