carved from basswood, legs, feet made from copper wire covered with ribbon epoxy, water made from hot glue, then painted, reeds made from brass sheet, moss from a kitchen sponge. thanks for looking..
Errol, Your carving is very good. I like the design, and habitat also. Good clean lines, eyes set properly, and the painting is blended well. Good job! Dick M
thank you everyone for the kind compliments. Hugh, I used a sponge like you would use in the kitchen (wife is wondering what happen to hers!!) lol, I use a knife to kinda tear it in strips and pieces, just tear some of it in shreds, then glue it in place, paint it with a green mossy color with some yellowish green. it took me a few trys to get it just right.
