  • trying to improve

This is my second carousel horse. From the pattern "Red Stripped Jumper" in the Classic Carousel Carving book by H. LeRoy Marlow. I got a lot of really useful information from this book and I am working hard on improving my skills, comments welcome. The horse is 3-1/2 inches tall and about 4" long.

Merle, it isn't the animal but the carving I like. I am working on a goat now that will part of the carousel we will be putting together.
Larry and Bob, thank you. My painting really isn't that great anymore, but I still enjoyed doing it.

Chipmunk, the carousel will be very similar to these: Miniature Carousels
My husband is a metal worker and robot builder and will be making all the mechanisms, my contribution will be the animals and benches.

Efmaron, thank you for looking and commenting. Hopefully I can improve with each animal as I am learning more and more by doing. I am enjoying the journey.

Thank you, Mark. I do check that website often, love the work you all do. I know I can only improve by doing, and this carousel gives me incentive to keep trying.
