Greetings everyone, glad to see the page making big steps, looks great! I started this fellow about 2 months ago, but its been so darn stinking hot down south, I didn't carve a lot. This fellow is a Falin pattern, standing about 15" tall, the tallest one I have down next to a Steve Brown indian. Holding his favorite "pig sticker", Bowie knife behind his back. Acrylics and BLO. He is sporting the rich tan of a true cowboy. He turned a little darker than I plan so I think he could be Mexican too, although the hair isn't dark enough. Fun to work on these bigger pieces. comments and critiques always wanted and appreciated.

That is a fine one. I think the skin tone is just right for a cowboy who spends his day in the elements;

Thanks Mark, Joe, Tinwood, Nomad, Spirit Wolfe and Wayne, you comments were super nice and encouraging. I know at times I get heavy on the paint and not dilute it as much as I like. Rest assured that the BLO will bring out its brightness!
