  • Zach and Zeke

I carved Zach with the blond beard in 2009 with a Ron Wells knife and i carved Zeke brown beard and pink shirt this week with the same Ron Wells knife, Both are from a Mike Shipley pattern IMG_1240.JPGIMG_1241.JPG

Nice Herb, it is great to look back and see how much a carver improves with time.. And practice.......Tom
If I took the time to fix all my mistakes, I wouldn,t have time to make new ones.

I agree with Tom; it's great to keep some of the first ones just to see how much we have improved. Even though Zeek is a more detailed carving than Zach your personal style still shows in both .

I can see the family resemblance quite clearly Herb. Nice to see the improvements one makes over the years and it shows here, cleaner, more confident cuts and improvements with the painting techniques as well. I still say you and your fellow crew members have WAY too much fun, but keep at it, the rest of us are jealous.

I love to see comparisons between the "then" and "now". Great carvings on both counts. Thanks for sharing.

Nice to see the development of "style." Good paint, too.

It's about time Zach had a little company. Herb, I'm sure he won't mind, even if Zeke is better lookin'.

Two very nice carvings and always good to keep our earlier carvings.
