  • 5:30 am Tee time...

    Finished this little guy today;...He's a bit different from the style that I usually carve , but I guess it doesn't hurt to experiment a bit from time to time.
    I just recently got a book from Chipping Away by Bill Howrilla titled " Carving Golfers" and this was the feature golfer and the one that he provided the step by step for. ( there are 11 other patterns in the book and all look like they would be fun to do)
    I believe that the author carved his 4" high, but I found that a bit too small for my main carving knife ( # 299 Stanley Utility Knife ) so I enlarged the pattern to 5-1/2" and even that was a bit of a challenge
    Hope you like him ;

        Dang Soggy, With no eyes, I would never know who carved that one. Great job of carving though.............Tom

        If I took the time to fix all my mistakes, I wouldn,t have time to make new ones.

          5:30? am? Too old for that anymore. Matter of fact, too early for me at any age for any purpose. That's cruel, unusual, and brutal. But you did a good job of capturing my anguish.
