  • state fair Project

This is my secret, from the Deer Creek boys, state fair project. it took Phyllis about 12 hours to paint it. I was using a much larger garden gnome as a go by. The go by actually had three gnomes but I mismeasured some and had to make two gnomes and a frog i started this project a little over a year ago and aborted the first attempt and had to start over so it has been a long time in the making and involved a lot of wood chips. I hope you enjoy.

Wow! Owning one of your carvings, I can see your style all over this one. Phyllis did a masterful job of both painting and picking the colors, right into the detail in the eyes..

Well carved and we'll painted! The only question is , who's going to win 2nd and 3rd place,..........'cause that one is going to take care of 1st place.
