My little kids named this guy Boo.
Boo's pose was inspired by a few of the C.O. Trygg hobos I've been staring at lately. I wanted to stretch out a bit from my last carving so I decided to do a figure with a hat. All in all I think bit off more than I could chew to start, but I learned A TON from carving this little fella in the process. After paint he took a dip in some leftover "mountain cedar" interior stain and was dried off after a a few seconds. I'm still using the crappy Lowe's "basswood" 1"x1" stock since I have so much of it. I just make sure my blade is polished and I take a lot of deep breaths
Anyways, here's Boo.
