Dachshund Puppy

My latest carving. I decided the first dachshund was more realistic, so I decided to try a caricature and ended up with a puppy. It is just over 3 inches long, not counting the tail. Carved from basswood, painted with acrylics.

If you decide to try, the first photo can be used as a pattern for the bandsaw. The tail is an over-sized dowel that was glued in. The over-size allowed me to carve it to a taper with some curves in it.
