  • Inside the Block

Here's a couple of guys "inside the block". These were inspired by Don Mertz. The block is 2x2 inch basswood.

This is a lot of good carving Joe, especially on this size of wood.

Enjoyable carvings, Joe. The finish is also a nice compliment to the carvings...a win, win.

These are fun, I've never seen the likes. That second guy definitely looks to be saying "Let me out of here!"

Nice group of blockheads Joe. Can't go wrong with some of Don's ideas for sure. Great take on this applying your own style.

Good job, Joe. That second guy is not too sure he wants to stay in there! But then where would he go if he did get out?

Thanks Kris, drhandrich, Merle, & Herb. As they say, "in every block of wood there is a carving waiting to get out".
