  • Gift for the Doctor

I finished this one a couple of months ago, and have been waiting until I had a chance to give it to the owner before posting pictures on here.
I'm very fortunate to have had the same family doctor for the past 40 years, in fact he has been the family doctor to 4 generations of my family, and is still practicing medicine in his late 70's.
He immigrated to Canada in the late 70's (1978 I think) from Falkirk Scotland and has been practicing here ever since. A well liked and respected individual by everyone in the county. So to show my appreciation I carved this and gave it to him this morning. To say he "liked" it would be an understatement......

Wayne, It is nice to be carving on a doctor, instead of him carving on you. Another one of your masterpieces. Great job. Merry Christmas.
If I took the time to fix all my mistakes, I wouldn,t have time to make new ones.

Thanks everyone for looking and commenting. I've sold quite a few carvings over the years, but I get way more pleasure out of the ones like this that I carve especially for a friend and then give it to them.

That carving says a lot, he is standing a cross road and not looking back...nice story there, Wayne!
