    Chances are; .....that piece of basswood wasn't even growing 44 years ago, so you had no choice but to wait.... But the wait was worth it, you've done a fine job on those two.

    My latest carvings. Rufus and Sadie. From "Carving Figure Caricatures in the Ozark Style" by Harold L. Enlow. Way back in 1976, my wife & I were on a vacation through the Black Hills. We visited "Western Woodcarvings" in Custer, SD. I purchased the book there and now 44 years later, Rufus and Sadie. Talk about sloooow!
