Claude, I’ll bet that’s where I got the dog roughout, at a get together in Lebanon, TN a few years ago. Didn’t quite know what to do with it, so I figured he would add some interest to this piece.

Very nice. The wrinkles in the shirt are great as well. Are the hands and head separate pieces than the body?

A great scene with beautifully carved and painted work. I love the attention to detail in the piece. It just makes it something special.

Great looking scene. The dog reminds me of some of Tom Wolfe's hounds...

I really like the effect you've gotten in the shirt and jeans, both the carving and painting.

Finally found his calling
This fellow was started a few years ago with a different purpose, but I couldn't get excited about it, so he sat on the shelf for some time. Finally decided his first loves on earth were horses and dogs. Dog is from a roughout I bought several years ago, but can't remember who from. You do not have permission to view this gallery.
