Nice carving and story, Eddy. Reminds me of a quote "sometimes people fish for a lifetime and don't realize it isn't the fish they are after." Solitude and friends can occupy great times.

I grew up in SE Colo. and the fishing you did was from the bank of the lake, watching the little red & white bobber out in the lake, & it was never getting a fish, that left me not a big fisherman.
maybe that one of the reasons I enjoy Eddy's story so much, The carving and painting are top gun Eddy.

"Fish'in on the Tellico River!"
“Two old locals from East Tennessee spent the week fishing on the Tellico River. They went down to Yates Hardware and bought all the equipment - the reels, the rods, hooks and sinkers, and the wading suits. They spent a small fortune! The first day they go fishing, they don't catch anything. The same thing happens on the second day, and on the third day. It goes on like this until finally, on the last day of fishing, one old guy catches a fish. As they're driving home, they're really depressed. One fella turns to the other and says, "Do you realize that this one lousy fish we caught cost us 500 hundred bucks?" The other old guy says, "Wow! Then it's a good thing we didn't catch anymore!"Tags: None
