  • Some days is worse than others.....

    As a rule I don't I don't usually do commissions, but for this one I made an exception. A friend said he would like to have one of my carvings, and the only specifications was that it should be a Mountain man and a hound ( he is the president of a muzzleloading club that I used to shoot with). so this is what I came up with....

    It's lot's of fun when you can let your imagination guide your knife.
    This one is approx. 8" tall, everything is basswood except the base which is white pine. Painted with acrylic washes and finished with a coat of Tried & True ...

                          Your friend must be very happy with that piece. It is awesome. I just love it. It's making me think of breaking out the 50 cal flintlock for a shoot.
