  • "Dave The Lawn Guy!"

There comes a time in every old guys life when he finds that his trusty lawn mower is just sitting in the shed collecting dust, along with his weedwhacker that needs to be re-strung and his blower that needed replacement long ago. Either his get up and go, got up and went, or his balance prevents him from walking from his front door to the end of his driveway without tripping over his own feet. When this happens it's time to find a good "Lawn Guy!" And that my friends is not always the easiest quest one can make. I'm running out of fingers keeping track of all the lawn people that we've gone through over the past eight years. It seems that they either can't do the job to your satisfaction. or they mow once and don't show up again, or their rates rise faster than the Dow. Last month my wife hired a new company and so far she's been real satisfied with his performance. And we all know how important that is because "if mama ain't happy, no one's happy!" So over the past two weeks (she has him come twice a month during the grass growing season, not to be confused with what northern folks call summer) I've been working on a caricature of our "Lawn Guy." Just thinkin', maybe a little "good will", will keep him coming back for a while!

Nothing wrong with a little " incentive " to keep the lawn care guy happy....
A few years ago we were away for a month and a half and I was expecting to come home to a hay field. Was really surprised to arrive home to a nicely mowed lawn. It took me quite awhile to find out who had done the mowing, but eventually I found out and carved him a nice caricature for his efforts. He was very appreciative to say the least.

It rained cats and dogs on Wednesday and again in the morning on Thursday. My wife had an appointment with her dentist on Thursday afternoon so we missed him. Oh well, it will hold for two weeks until it's time to come back and we know for sure that he'll be back because he hasn't been paid yet. But such is life in Florida during the rainy season. It's either wet as heck or hot and humid as heck! There's no in-between!

Actually, the gardener's name is Richard. This guy has a lot in common except for the invoice that I was given yesterday! This guy looks a little too clean. Needs more grass stains on his pants.

The guy on the rider. Now I know how they harvest rice.

Don't worry. I am sure the lawn in your garden is in great hands. It is not hard at all to take care of a lawn. You only have to water it constantly, and if you want it to lock better, you can use different seeds and weed fertilizers. You can order fertilizers or seeds online. When I need to buy something for my garden, I usually do it on https://www.growgardener.com/the-5-b...for-your-lawn/. Take a look.
