  • Not what he was expecting

    First I'll give you a bit of background on what this guy is doing. Some years ago the Dept. Of Natural Resources started allowing the practice of baiting deer in our province in the name of "safety " . Although I personally don't like the idea, I must admit it seems to have worked.....at least the hunters are safer ( not so much the deer). At first, most hunters used apples, then someone discovered that deer really had a like for carrots, so now that is the preferred bait. Unfortunately it's not only deer that like carrots , ..... porcupines enjoy the occasional carrot as well...
    It's about time this fellow hung up his rifle and got some work done around his property, so the next time you see him he might be cutting his firewood........ or with spring upon us he just might sneak off to his favorite fishing hole. Guess we'll have to wait and see...

      Great carving Soggy. When I was a kid and lived in deer country the bait of choice was a salt lick and a high powered search light. Just don't let Mr. Game warden catch you!

                        Thanks everyone for looking and commenting. He didn't last long ....I put it on Facebook and 20 minutes later he was sold.
